Each week we are featuring a new Spirit of God member you should know…or perhaps an old Spirit of God
member you only thought you knew. This week we’d like to introduce you to long-time SOGF family member…

A.I was a resident at Brandon House because of drug addiction. My first week at Brandon House I went to a
Bible study where I heard and met Barb Sullivan. That was four years ago. After my treatment, going home to
Chicago Heights’ “east side” was not an option for me. I wanted to be free from my former lifestyle, so I moved
into Harvey House, went through the program, and graduated.
A.I gave my life to God when I was 14 years old. I am now 52.
A.I’m a member of the worship team where I sing and sometimes play percussion. I play drums for
Kid’s Church, and I’m a member of the Gospel Group “Restored”( our lives have been restored back
into the Kingdom of God.) I also cook once a week at Harvey House to help talk with and stay in contact
with the men who think they may not be able to make it. (Before moving out of Harvey House, I was the
cook for 2 years.) I’m also a mentor and house counselor there. Lastly, I am the music director of
“God’s Ground Force” a choir that is filled with the heavenly voices from Tabitha House and Harvey House.
A.I was strongest in the areas of exhortation and administration.
A.I currently work as a cook at the Village Woods in Crete. Praise God!
A.I like reading the Bible and Christian books. I also like listening to music, spending time with family,
my 3 grandchildren, talking with new friends, and attending rehearsals.
A.I love Spirit of God Fellowship, Doc, and Barb, and everyone involved that has helped someone like me
find new life through Christ.
A.My favorite verses are Psalms 91and the book of Nehemiah.
